About Jamal
Jamal Smith started his career when he segued from dead end customer service positions to web/graphic designing. Inevitably when asked how he got into web design, Jamal explains that it happened quite by accident. He attempted to have a website built for a small business idea he had. After receiving countless quotes asking for ridiculously high prices for a basic website, he realized that he could created a quality website of his own.

His innate creative juices fueled his desire to begin working on his own site. The decision to go to night school to hone his skills was crystal clear. He sat up countless nights working on the start-up site and worked a 9-5 during the day. Jamal attended Katharine Gibbs School in New York and graduated with an associate's degree in computer science in 2004.Thus, the genesis of JamalSmith.com Inc. emerged. His creativity flourished as he worked on small projects. His unforgettable sites and interpersonal skills allowed him to create a name for himself. Through word of mouth and self-promotion, he began building JamalSmith.com Inc. the brand.

Jamal is a sought after web/graphic designer because of his passion and ability to express his clients' innermost emotions through his work. Jamal worked for PTI of America, Roslyn, New York as a graphic/web designer. He also worked with people in the beauty industry; specifically alongside of the legendary Vera Moore, Pres/CEO and Founder of Vera Moore Cosmetics. The opportunity to take advantage of her 30 years of experience in the beauty industry was a window of opportunity he couldn't ignore. Ms. Moore hired Jamal to create a website that expressed her core values: to simply give the best quality cosmetics and skincare products conveyed thru layers of love with color and beauty.

Jamal has also had the great pleasure of working with Kwamé, Je'Caryous Johnson, Tone-X, DJ Eddie F, J. Holiday, Fat Joe, DJ. Green Lantern, Pastor Juanita Bynum, from Atlanta, GA., Imoovie LLC, Chili U.SA., The Wedding Connection, Colin from Pollen Nation, and Kelly from Kater Too Lifestyles. As well as freelancing for Martha Stewart, Weight Watchers, Ember Media Corp/Clayton Banks, Concept Farm, AKQA, Renegade Marketing, Thomas Publishing, JWT, Ogilvy Inc., The National Enquirer, and Virgin/EMI, Capitol Records, Warner Bros. are just some of the few.
